Marital ProblemsDivorce is very high at menopause, often instigated by women. The process of a woman's metamorphosis through menopause often causes abrasive problems within a relationship. The
'New Woman' emerging is no longer recognised by the partner which can cause him grief. Life as you both knew it now comes under threat. You may need professional help to get you through this. Divorce is not the only answer.
Communication will help get you through this. Think about what you want to say, and try not to be offended by his response or defensive. Try to sit outside your problem, to see it as others would. Doing this can help both of you to talk things through and understanding each other better, gaining inner strength from this.
